Trust Your Intuition

Trust That Pit in Your Stomach

We have all been there in a business situation - just as you are about to make a decision, you have a sinking feeling that it is the wrong thing to do. We fight that pit in our stomach because we can not rationalize why we have the feeling we do because we have all the factual reasons why it is the right decision. Many times more than not, we find out later that our intuition was right.

Intuition is the ability to understand something immediately, without the need for conscious reasoning. Because business life moves at such a rapid pace each day, we often don't take the time to step back and breathe and take stock of the messages inside of us.

Our animal instinct is to protect and keep us out of harm's way. So why do resist that inner voice that is our protector? There have been many times in my business experience that I went against that voice because I didn't want to believe it, I wanted to move forward and I didn't want to be dissuaded otherwise. However; there have been other times I have had a gravitational pull that I can't explain to move forward and take a risk, like I did when I opened DRISHTIQ Yoga.

Along any path there will be pitfalls and successes along the way. It is for us to evaluate what those wins and losses mean in our business life rather than racing through each experience. Step back and observe the outcome and the journey that led to each result. Is each decision still serving you or is it time to make a change?

Today, take the time to move a little slower and believe in the messages that your subconscious sends to you. Trust your Intuition and believe in all that is possible without going against who you are and what makes you unique.
