Pause And Reset
Welcome to the show where anything can be possible because when you believe you can, you will. This series is all about getting honest with ourselves and noticing the things that we carry with us. We each have our own life experiences to go from. Sometimes it's hard to truly understand what it's like to be someone else. What we can do to create change is to start with ourselves. If each of us took one action each day in our own lives, we can collectively change the world around us. What does it take? It takes work and practice.
We have to be honest with ourselves as we get there. To do that, we have these B3 Breaks to pause and assess our thoughts before we speak, to take an honest look at our interactions in our day and the energy that we may be creating around us. We ask other people questions and learn their stories and experiences. We create positive energy with the people around us and find peaceful ways to show our support to our friends, family and acquaintances.
We observe all of this without judgment, we are present with the people we are with and we show up in love. What can we do? We start with the little things. This series is all about short practices that you can put into your day. Practice this each day for 2, 5, 10 minutes or whatever it takes so that you can observe your energy and be intentional with the energy you create around you because if you believe you can, you will. Our show begins now.

For B3 Break, I thought it would nice for us to take a pause and do a little meditation to step back in our day and tap into how we are feeling internally and observe. This is a short body scan meditation but it will give you an idea of how you are feeling, maybe any thoughts or feelings that you have so you can step back from it, observe it and let it go so that you can enter it back into your day. If you are sitting in a chair, take both feet on the ground. If you are sitting on the floor, you can cross your legs, whatever is comfortable for you. I love for you to take your hands to your knees or your thighs and sit tall, drawing through the crown of your head and start tapping into that breath, calming that breath down, inhaling through your nose, down your throat, into your belly and exhaling from your belly through your throat and out your nose. Close your eyes, calming your body down, tapping into that breath, noticing how when you tap into that breath, you can create some stillness inside your body.
I would like you to take your focus to the center of your forehead, bring it down to the center of your throat and the center of your heart. Draw that focus to your right shoulder, right elbow, right wrist and maybe each finger. Coming back to your wrist, elbow, shoulder and back to your heart. Take a breath in and out, drawing that awareness to your left shoulder, left wrist and maybe each finger. Taking that focus back to your wrists, elbow, shoulder and heart. Bringing that awareness back to your throat and bringing that attention back to the center of your forehead.
Maybe noticing your energy here, anything that might not be serving you, just allow it to come through the crown of your head. Take a few more moments letting all of that go, not holding on to your breath, thoughts or tension, just allowing yourself to be still. Slowly come back into awareness. Maybe wiggling your fingers and your toes, opening your eyes with a soft gaze. Coming back into the space around you, maybe noticing anything that came up for you during your meditation that you want to be aware of as you walk back into your day. Maybe how you might want to shift your energy so that you can show up for yourself and for the people around you in a positive way.
